Cornish Gems, is launching a new service dedicated to managing multimillion pound holiday homes owned by buy to let property investors.

The properties will rent in the region of £2,000 - £8000 per week, and many have attractive luxury facilities such as home cinemas, swimming pools, saunas, gyms and hot tubs with sea views and services such as guest holiday concierge, private catering and helicopter/limo transfers.

The new service will be marketed under the title of ‘Cornish Cribs’ and as part of the launch the company is holding a black tie dinner and charity auction on 23 April at the Carlyon Bay Hotel’s Golf Club when the guest of honour will be Falkland’s veteran Simon Weston OBE.

Weston endured years of re-constructive surgery, including 70 major operations and surgical procedures after being injured during the Falklands conflict in 1982.

He received his OBE in the 1992 Queen's Birthday Honours for the charity work he now undertakes. He was also awarded Freedom of the City of Liverpool in 2002 in recognition of his bravery and his charity work in the region and has appeared in the Top 100 Merseysiders list in 2003 and honoured as one of the top 100 Welsh Heroes in 2004.

He said, “I am pleased to be able to attend this event to celebrate the launch of Cornish Cribs. The way that the Gems team are using this to raise funds for charities is fantastic and I hope that we can raise significant amounts for the charities whilst having a great time on the night.”

Director of Cornish Gems and Cornish Cribs, Julianne Shelton said: “We are launching Cornish Cribs in response to the highest calibre of properties that are joining our portfolio.

“Cornish Cribs will combine the very best in exclusive and luxurious accommodation in the county, with a professional and bespoke service, resulting in the ultimate Cornish holiday experience.”

The charity auction to mark the launch of Cribs will be raising funds for Cancer Funding for Cornwall, Mullion Gym and Lizard Lifeboat, as well as national charity Help For Heroes.

Cornish Gems won the silver award for Best New Business in Cornwall in 2007 when it started with properties. Now in its third year of trading it has more than 60 properties in Cornwall.
